participated in athletics at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska prior to attending dental
school at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. I received my Doctor of Dental
Surgery (DDS) in 2003. It was here where I met my husband, Dr. Tanner Clark. After dental school, I voluntarily chose to serve in the United States Air Force as a
general dentist for five years. It was an amazing experience both professionally and
personally! I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at
Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. I was then assigned as a general dentist at
Ramstein Air Force Base in Ramstein, Germany for the remaining four years. During that
time, I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend one month in Mali, Africa on a
humanitarian mission treating dental disease in many local African children. Tanner and I
also were able to travel all over Europe and visit many amazing places! After my military service, I practiced as a general dentist in a private practice in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa and also became a faculty member at the University of Iowa College of
Dentistry, Department of Family Dentistry. In 2009, I was accepted into the orthodontic
residency at the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry. In 2011, I completed my
orthodontic specialty training and earned my Master’s degree (MS) and Certificate in
Orthodontics. I am proud to be board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of
Orthodontics.×Dr.
