Hello, my name is Dr. Sarah Clark and I was raised in Sioux City, Iowa. I studied and
participated in athletics at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska prior to attending dental
school at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. I received my Doctor of Dental
Surgery (DDS) in 2003. It was here where I met my husband, Dr. Tanner Clark.

After dental school, I voluntarily chose to serve in the United States Air Force as a
general dentist for five years. It was an amazing experience both professionally and
personally! I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at
Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. I was then assigned as a general dentist at
Ramstein Air Force Base in Ramstein, Germany for the remaining four years. During that
time, I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend one month in Mali, Africa on a
humanitarian mission treating dental disease in many local African children. Tanner and I
also were able to travel all over Europe and visit many amazing places!

After my military service, I practiced as a general dentist in a private practice in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa and also became a faculty member at the University of Iowa College of
Dentistry, Department of Family Dentistry. In 2009, I was accepted into the orthodontic
residency at the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry. In 2011, I completed my
orthodontic specialty training and earned my Master’s degree (MS) and Certificate in
Orthodontics. I am proud to be board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of
    Orthodontics.

Hi, my name is Dr. Tanner Clark and I grew up in Hillsboro, Wisconsin. After high school, I
received my Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I then
went on to attend dental school at the University of Iowa and received my Doctor of Dental
Surgery (DDS) in 2004. While in dental school, I was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon
    dental honor society.

After dental school, I voluntarily chose to serve in the United States Army as a general
dentist from 2004-2008. In the Army, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry
(AEGD) residency at Pulaski Barracks in Kaiserslautern, Germany. I was then selected to
serve three years as the Officer-In-Charge of the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center Dental
Clinic in Landstuhl, Germany. This the primary hospital and clinic where members of our
armed forces are first seen when flown out of Afghanistan and Iraq for medical and dental
emergencies. I was forever humbled by this experience, and I feel so fortunate and honored
to have gotten to work with and treat such amazing soldiers during my time in the United
    States Army!

After my military service, I returned to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry to
complete my orthodontic specialty training and earn my Master’s degree (MS) and Certificate
    in Orthodontics.

After graduating from my orthodontics residency, I stayed on as a clinical faculty member
for a year at The University of Iowa Department of Orthodontics. Like Sarah, I also
completed the process to become Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of
    Orthodontics.

Our professional affiliations include: the American Board of Orthodontics, the College of
Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Association of Orthodontics,
the Midwest Society of Orthodontics, the Iowa Society of Orthodontics and the American
    Dental Association.

We are proud parents of three sons, Drew, Luke, and Jake – they keep us busy! In our spare
time, we enjoy traveling and watching Iowa Hawkeye and Wisconsin Badger athletics. We are
also avid runners and triathletes – you can often see us running and cycling on the trails
    and backroads of eastern Iowa.

We are excited to have you as a patient! Our practice is unique in that we are the only
husband-wife orthodontic private practice in Iowa! Orthodontics is truly a passion of ours
and we look forward to giving you a fabulous smile!

Hey there, I’m LaReya! I was born and raised here in Iowa City and since graduating from West High in 2012 I’ve spent a lot of time working with people. I found a love for orthodontics while stationed in Key West, FL with my husband who was in the US Navy. My previous jobs have given me the opportunity to interact with kids and adults, so I can’t wait to welcome you and your families through the doors here at Clark Orthodontics.
One fun fact about me is that I was a gymnast from age 4 until about 20. In my free time, I love to find new recipes to cook or search for new restaurant to try with family and friends. At home, my husband Kollin and I stay busy with our puppy Kona who loves playing with her favorite squeaky toy or snuggling with us on the couch.
